Francis X. Scire, Jr. ,is Executive Managing Director at Avenue Real Estate Partners and a Florida-licensed Real Estate Sales Associate. Based in West Palm Beach, Francis brings nearly four decades of experience in retail real estate, leasing, redevelopment and placemaking, with a career focused on repositioning properties and creating compelling retail environments that generate long-term value for ownership.
Prior to joining Avenue, Francis served as Head of Leasing for NORA, the transformative adaptive-reuse development creating a new retail, dining, hospitality and lifestyle district at the northern gateway to Downtown West Palm Beach. In that role, Francis helped shape the project’s merchandising strategy and tenant mix, bringing together a collection of local, regional and national concepts designed specifically for the evolving West Palm Beach customer.
Previously, Francis was Senior Vice President and Head of Leasing, Marketing and Brand Management at O’Connor Capital Partners, where he oversaw leasing for the firm’s approximately 3.5-million-square-foot portfolio as well as corporate and property marketing initiatives.
From 2015 through 2018, Francis was Vice President of Leasing at WS Development, where he led leasing for the redevelopment and repositioning of The Royal Poinciana Plaza in Palm Beach. The project became one of South Florida’s most distinctive luxury retail and lifestyle destinations and remains an important example of Francis’s approach to thoughtful merchandising and placemaking.
Earlier in his career, Francis spent 10 years with Simon Property Group as Vice President of Leasing and Luxury Accounts. Among his major assignments, he led leasing at the iconic Roosevelt Field on Long Island for six years and worked with many of the country’s leading luxury and specialty retailers.
Throughout his career, Francis has leased and repositioned a wide range of real estate, including luxury and lifestyle projects, enclosed regional malls, outlet centers, mixed-use developments, adaptive-reuse projects and revitalized downtown retail districts.
At the center of Francis’s approach is PLACEMAKING, understanding the soul of a property, identifying its customer and assembling a collection of tenants and experiences that work together rather than simply filling space. His philosophy combines merchandising, leasing, branding and the physical environment to create places people genuinely want to visit while maximizing long-term value and revenue for ownership.
Francis holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Providence College, with a focus on finance and marketing. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and has participated as a retail expert and speaker for the Congress for the New Urbanism, an international organization dedicated to creating vibrant, walkable and sustainable communities.
A native of Boston, Francis relocated to West Palm Beach in 2018 and has become deeply immersed in the evolution of the Palm Beach County real estate and retail market. He lives in West Palm Beach with his 12-Year-Old daughter.
